No Regrets right?... isn't that the norm, the way to live now a days.

I completely agree.

Why should you have regrets. Every experience is a lesson to be learnt, and "regrets" is the refusal to let go even though the lesson was learnt. Why should you waste the present thinking about how you f@*ked up the past, and how you can't go back and change it. What's done is done, you can only move forward. Remember the past, but don't let the past tease you by putting it's hands in your face wrigling it's fingers, feverishly taunting, only to run away. All the while you've not been able to touch, join in, or change a thing. Think of it as a show box full of memories, good and bad, but all the things you've learnt from none the less.

Why have regrets...they only holds you down..

interesting to assume that i am but a youth. And yourself being an elder should i assume? I've done and have had done many things in my life that perhaps most wouldn't exerience, or would just read about or live out vicariously through another... and within that i've found that spending time with regreats is but a waste of time. so I've learnt and i move on, making sure not to make the same mistakes... but never regretting the ones i've made. I know what i'm capable of, an within my self i wouldn't go around killing people, or do something to someone i would "regret" if i happen to hurt someone, it isn't intentional. So i've no reason to regret.

It someones choice to decided what they want to do, how, when, why, even if circumstances are constraining, there is always choice before it gets to the point of no return. Chose wisely and there are no regrets. chose less wisely and it is but a lesson.

And to live life without regret is impossible, I stand to say that if you haven't done it already, that you at sometime in your childhood, before you were aware of what it was, regretted something. if i am understanding you correctly, hanny...you are making an argument based on the fact that AT SOMETIME, everyone lives in regret. that is to say, that although one may now live without regret (through understandings etc.) at one time they did. rolleyes

yes, it would be wrong to claim that one has never lived with regret. i'll go along with that for the sake of this conversation.
however, when one states that one HAS no regret, they are NOT claiming to have never HAD regret.
